The course has 12 parts, spread over two days.

Day One

Casual talk in standard Arabic in which we learn about the trainees, their way of speaking, their level in Arabic, and their style.

The basics of Arabic grammar.

50 minutes

The arrangement of words to create proper, well-formed, sentences in Arabic. Seven golden rules of Arabic syntax.

  • Using the Wrong Preposition
  • Confused Words
  • Colloquialisms
  • Unnecessary Words
  • Other Mistakes

50 minutes

How to prepare and deliver a great speech.

30 minutes

Day Two

Trainees are given 10 minutes to prepare a 5-minute presentation on a topic relevant to their field of work. Followed by remarks.

40 minutes

On-the-spot commentary by the trainees on a series of slides.

15 minutes

Instant translation from English to Arabic of a series of sentences.

10 minutes

  • Speak in a relaxed and natural manner

  • Present complex ideas in a simple and accessible way

  • Use sound bites: catchy, memorable, carefully crafted phrases
